Stage 3 - High potential and gifted education program
Program
This program focuses on the Intellectual and Creative Domains, engaging students in critical thinking and communication skills. Working collaboratively in small teams, students will conduct investigations into an environmental concept at our wonderful wetland location, forming opinions and persuasive arguments. Following the development and critique of a script, students will record a podcast to be shared with their school community.
Important information
Students will:
- investigate local environmental concepts, exploring the ideas from different points of view
- develop an understanding of the ‘tips and tricks’ of making a podcast
- work collaboratively to draft a script for their podcast
- demonstrate critical thinking as they review the other scripts and then revise their own
- use a range of digital equipment to record their podcast.
This program will be delivered once in 2026:
- Wednesday 10 June 2026 (Term 2, Week 8)
