A group of vision impaired students from the Hawkesbury, Penrith and Blue Mountains areas visited Longneck Lagoon EEC on Thursday 2 May 2018 for a hands-on program. The students experienced our Darug Cultural Knowledge Walk, having the opportunity to feel, smell and examine a range of tools and plants. Students were assisted by their vision support teachers as they constructed shelters from pre-cut sticks.
Students used dipnets to catch insects and small fish from the creek.
