Aboriginal education excursions

Longneck Lagoon Environmental Education Centre offers a range of Aboriginal education activities for students. 

The activities are delivered by Longneck Lagoon EEC teachers. A Dharug Knowledge Holder can be booked to deliver aspects of the program at an additional cost.

Activities

  • Cultural knowledge walk
  • Traditional Indigenous games
  • Sand drawing (ES1-S1)
  • Sand painting (S2-3)

Aboriginal education incursions

The First Scientists

The First Scientists incursion program provides engaging, hands-on activities for students to investigate knowledges, inventions and innovations from Australia’s First Peoples. Teachers from Longneck Lagoon Environmental Education Centre deliver a range of activities in your school. All activities align to the new Science syllabus (2024).

Duration: 50-90 minutes (dependant on age group and chosen activities).
